Guadalupe M. Garcia (Lupe)

Mr. Lupe Garcia focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, licensing, and litigation. His litigation experience includes matters relating to electrical and mechanical technology as well as biosciences. He has also prosecuted patents in the areas of electrical and computer engineering, with an emphasis in communication systems, signal processing, electronics, semiconductor physics, cryptography, and computer architecture. Mr. Garcia's practice also includes counseling clients on intellectual property portfolio development that includes counseling on patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright issues.  He also counsels clients on non-infringement, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate issues.

Prior to his work at GMG Intellectual Property Law, Mr. Garcia was Of Counsel at one of the foremost and largest law firms in the country.

Before going to Stanford Law School, Mr. Garcia spent several years working as an engineer in technical fields that included communications, signal processing, and control systems. As an engineer, he also held various high-level governmental clearances.  His graduate work in electrical engineering at Stanford University included studies in signals and systems, control theory, computer architecture, and semiconductor processing.  

Mr. Garcia is fluent in Spanish.
